Product Designer at Leap

Nat DeMenthon has a diverse range of work experience. They are currently working as a UX/UI Designer at Leap, starting in 2022. Prior to this, from 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Freelance UX Designer and Artist at Bird King LLC. Nat also has experience as a Secretary and Webmaster at Sears Pediatrics, where they worked from 2018 to 2022. In this role, they collaborated with Doctor Sears to improve the web layout and branding, performed clerical duties, and designed technological solutions to reduce vaccine anxiety. From 2019 to 2021, Nat worked as a Student UX Designer/Researcher at the University of Maryland iConsultancy. In this position, they designed a voice and mobile app assistant for individuals with Mild Cognitive Impairment and conducted interviews and prototype testing. They also served as a team facilitator and conducted parent interviews to evaluate program improvements for the University of Maryland Pre-College Upward Bound. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2019, Nat worked as an Artist at Bully! Entertainment, where they led an art project for Virtua Creative, created 2D and 3D assets, and animated assets using Puppet2D in Unity. Lastly, from 2015 to 2017, Nat worked as an Innovative Media Technology Assistant at VCU James Branch Cabell Library. In this role, they taught students and faculty various software and technology skills, including 3D printing, Adobe software, and sewing.

Nat DeMenthon completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts from 2013 to 2017. They then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Human Computer Interaction from the University of Maryland from 2019 to 2021. Additionally, in January 2020, Nat obtained a certification in Human Research Subjects from CITI Program, a Division of BRANY.
