Melinda George

Melinda George serves as the Chief Policy Officer at Learning Forward since January 2017. Prior to this role, Melinda held the position of President at the National Commission on Teaching and America's Future from January 2014 to January 2017 and served as Vice President and COO from July 2011 to December 2013. Melinda's experience also includes a tenure as Sr. Director of TeacherLine & National Education Partnerships at the Public Broadcasting Service from 2006 to July 2011 and as Executive Director at the State Educational Technology Directors Association from January 2002 to March 2006. Melinda George earned a Master of Public Administration degree from American University (1993-1995) and a Bachelor of Arts in American Culture from Vassar College (1986-1990).
