Monica Hettenhausen

Monica Hettenhausen is an experienced educator with a diverse background spanning various teaching and educational roles. Currently serving as a Teacher at Pacific Elementary School since July 2016, Monica focuses on experiential learning and holistic child development. As a Subject Matter Expert for Learning List since May 2013, Monica reviews instructional materials for alignment with education standards. Previous positions include Enrichment Teacher at Austin Rising School, Visionary and Founding Board Member at Kairos Academy of Austin, and Numeracy Math Trainer with Pamela Harris. Monica has extensive experience teaching diverse student populations and has contributed significantly to curriculum development and educational initiatives across several schools and districts. Monica holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Simmons College Graduate Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Planning and Interpretation from Humboldt State University.
