Jonathan Herman

Jonathan Herman is a Full Stack Engineer at LearnLux. Jonathan was previously a Software Engineering Fellow at General Assembly, where they participated in a full-time, 3 month software engineering immersive, completing in-class projects, hackathons, and personal projects focused on real-world applications of software engineering principles and best practices. Their projects include Bloom (job opportunity tracker - Unit 4 project for General Assembly SEI), WE! Travel (travel planner - Unit 3 project for General Assembly SEI), Deep Sky (digital vault - Unit 2 project for General Assembly SEI), and Raptor (digital version of board game - Unit 1 project for General Assembly SEI).

Before their time at General Assembly, Jonathan worked as a Content Marketing Associate & Data Analyst at Salsify. There they developed high-impact content marketing to drive business with small, medium, and large brands. Jonathan also spearhead major projects including co-marketed effort with two other companies. Furthermore, they partnered cross- functionally across Tech, Product, Sales and beyond to ensure alignment of messaging. Jonathan also trained and mentored junior staff. Jonathan enhanced data visualization and insights generation capabilities by developing dashboards and optimizing internal tools. Additionally, they co-led company-wide data hackathon to champion data-driven thinking. Lastly, they published 5 (incl. 2 co-marketed) in-depth ecommerce insight reports, including the first report for Salsify’s Digital Shelf Institute for

Jonathan Herman's educational career includes studying software engineering at General Assembly and music at State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota. Jonathan also attended Pine View School. Jonathan has two Codecademy certifications, one in intro to data analysis and one in SQL from scratch.
