Pedro García Tortolero has been working in the IT industry since 1998. Pedro started as an intern at IBM and then moved on to become an Assistant Professor at Universidad Simón Bolívar in 2000. In 2004, they began working at DBAccess, where they held three roles: Solutions and Delivery Manager, Architecture and Innovation - Competence Center Manager, and Program Manager. In 2013, they CoFounded Learnsity, a tech-based startup offering SAAS eLearning products for corporates and individuals. Currently, they are working at McKinsey & Company as a Core IT Digital Expert.

Pedro García Tortolero has a diverse educational background. Pedro obtained a Master in Science in Computer Science from Universidad Simón Bolívar in 2003, followed by a Computers Engineering degree from the same university in 2000. Pedro also holds a Bachiller en Ciencias from Colegio San Agustín El Paraiso, Caracas, which they obtained in 1995. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, such as a Microsoft Azure Machine Learning for Data Scientists from Microsoft in November 2021, a Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure from Google in June 2020, a Machine Learning certification from Stanford University in February 2019, a Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skills from University of Michigan in June 2018, a Scrum: Advanced and a Scrum: The Basics from LinkedIn in April 2018, and a Unified Modeling Language certification from OMG in 2005.
