Zack Burns

Zack Burns is a staff accountant at Lease Crutcher Lewis in Seattle. Zack previously worked at Sellen Construction as a cost substantiation accountant from April 2020 to April 2022. In this role, they owned company-wide monthly and final substantiations for all GMAX (Guaranteed Maximum Price) Contracts. Zack also ensured that the company was charging the correct rates according to specific contract language through manual audits. Zack minimized the turnaround time for final substantiations to be issued to customers by creating a system that tracks weekly progress. Zack eliminated confusion and timeliness of the audit process by creating mutually beneficial relationships with third party auditors. Zack reported and posted monthly costs on tech, fuel, and subcontract default insurance for all company projects. Zack also spearhead additional responsibilities in job cost reporting to cover equipment rental, materials, billable rates, warranty charges and additional accounting responsibilities while the team was short-staffed. Zack prepared automated and commentary driven C-Suite monthly reporting for project billing and billable hours. Zack also prepared billings for time and material, lump sum and GMAX projects. Zack ran daily cash investment summaries to balance and report company financial health.

Zack Burns completed their high school education at Perrysburg High School and then went on to study at the University of Michigan, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics with a Business Minor.
