Janet Whaley Sifers has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and responsibilities.

Beginning in 1994, they worked as a Business Development Manager and Program Manager at Excalibur Technologies, where they established strategic relationships and sold information retrieval software tools. Janet then moved on to IBM in 1996, where they served as Partner Marketing and Business Development Executive. In this role, they developed program infrastructure for a business partner initiative and led projects to develop sales and marketing strategies. Janet also achieved significant sales results as part of a satellite Lotus team.

In 2003, Sifers transitioned within IBM to become an Acquisition Transition Manager, successfully integrating CrossAccess Corporation employees and assets. Janet exceeded acquisition revenue targets and met employee retention and product delivery goals. Following this role, they took on the position of Content Management Segment Strategist, leading cross-brand collaboration and competitive analysis for the Enterprise Content Management Leadership Team.

From 2006 to 2011, Sifers served as a Senior Marketing Manager at IBM, focusing on midmarket demand generation programs. Janet led global cross-company initiatives and managed a multinational team to improve go-to-market planning. During this time, they also drove the design and implementation of campaign planning tools.

Sifers then transitioned to the role of Private Cloud Go-to-Market Strategy Program Director, where they led go-to-market and brand strategies, exceeding revenue goals. From 2012 to 2017, they served as Global SaaS Product Marketing Program Director, responsible for SaaS product marketing, brand strategy, and managing a virtual Marketing Council. Janet achieved significant business growth through innovative marketing strategies and presented at major client events.

In 2017, Sifers became the Global SaaS Marketing Transformation Program Director, leading the internal marketing transformation for SaaS. Janet created marketing analytics applications, developed a digital tech touch strategy, and improved customer engagement.

In 2019, Sifers joined Aperture Strategic Marketing as a Principal before moving to LeaseAccelerator in 2020. At LeaseAccelerator, they held various roles, including Senior Director Product Marketing and Vice President Product Marketing before assuming their current position as Vice President Marketing in September 2022.

In addition to their corporate experience, Sifers has also pursued a passion for photography, working as an Award-winning Photographer for the League of Reston Artists. Janet has received recognition and awards for their nature/abstract images and headshot photography services, exhibiting their work in competitive, juried exhibits.

Janet Whaley Sifers has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing from George Mason University. In addition to their formal education, Janet has also obtained certifications as an Agile Explorer and an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM.
