Lead Performance Database Engineer at LeaseAccelerator

Javier Jesús Méndez has a strong background in database administration, with experience in various roles and companies. Javier Jesús began their career at Raytheon, where they served as an Oracle Database Administrator from April 2009 to January 2012. During this time, they achieved 100% uptime for a 1TB RAC database, successfully migrated a database from Solaris to Oracle Linux 5, and led the transition from a single-node to a 3-node RAC database cluster.

After their time at Raytheon, Méndez joined Everware-CBDI as a Lead Oracle Database Administrator from January 2012 to September 2012. In this role, they resolved data-integrity issues and developed complex SQL/XPath queries for text-search capabilities. Javier Jesús also installed and configured XML database extensions, objects, and indexes for full XML and text-search capabilities.

Following their position at Everware-CBDI, Méndez worked at the US Forest Service as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator from September 2012 to June 2018. During their tenure, they successfully implemented Oracle 11g RAC on a pre-production environment.

Currently, Méndez is employed at LeaseAccelerator as the Lead Performance Database Engineer, a position they have held since June 2018.

Javier Jesús Méndez attended the University of Maryland from 2002 to 2008, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study.
