Walter Van De Waterbeemd

Walter Van De Waterbeemd is the current CHRO at Leaseweb. Prior to this, they were the Director/Manager Human Resources for Feenstra from September 2011 to February 2015. In this role, they were responsible for heading the HR function in 4 legal entities and was in charge of Board and Executive remuneration, Talent Management, and Succession planning.

Under their leadership, Feenstra successfully integrated 4 divisions, created a new HR service delivery model, developed and implemented shared services, uniformed processes, and migrated 4 HRIS & Pay roll systems into 1. As a result of these efforts, the company was able to reduce the cost of HR by 40%.

Walter is a skilled and experienced HR professional with a proven track record of success in driving change and improving organizational performance. Walter is a member of the Management Team of Feenstra and the International HR Management team in Sweden.

Walter Van De Waterbeemd attended the Royal Military Academy where they studied social and psychological studies with a HR and management specialization. Walter then earned a certificate in change management from Nyenrode Business University. Next, they completed a management program at the Defense Institute of Management Studies (formerly the Staff School). Finally, they earned a business management degree from the University of Twente.
