Matt Engel

Matt Engel is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in teaching history and social studies at various educational levels. Currently serving as a History Teacher at Leavenworth USD 453 since July 2023, Engel previously taught middle school at Newburgh Enlarged City School District and high school social studies in the Bronx under the NYC Department of Education. Prior to these roles, Engel contributed as a Social Studies Teacher at Geary County USD 475 and as a Student Supervisor at Eisenhower Middle School. Engel’s career began with service as an Army Officer in the United States Army from June 2012 to September 2016. Engel holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Oklahoma, a Master's Degree in Education from Relay Graduate School of Education, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at Liberty University.
