Erik Holst-Roness has a diverse and extensive work experience. Erik started their career as the Managing Director of Holron Computing, where they oversaw the growth of the company and managed all sales and marketing activities. Erik then moved on to Teleglobal, where they served as CEO and successfully developed partnerships with key network operators, retailers, and banks. Erik also negotiated with central banks to support a new financial service for the unbanked.
After Teleglobal, Erik joined SCCP Group/GoSwiff as the Chief Strategy Officer and later became the President of MEA. In these roles, they were responsible for developing and optimizing global alliances, leading the strategy to grow the business, and working with banks to develop their mobile strategies.
In 2017, Erik joined Palmarium as a Payments & Fintech Expert, providing strategic consultancy and interim C-Level management to companies in the pipeline for investment. Currently, they are working with Lebara as the Director of Business Growth and Market Expansion.
Throughout their career, Erik has specialized in fintech, mobile payments, and alternative payment systems. Erik has also focused on business development, strategy, and empowering those without access to technology and tools for improving their lives.
Erik Holst-Roness began their education at Edinburgh Academy, where they attended from 1970 to 1978. Erik then pursued engineering studies at The University of Edinburgh from 1978 to 1980. After completing their undergraduate degree, they continued their education at the University of Sussex, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering from 1980 to 1983. Later on, they furthered their academic journey at the same university, specializing in Operations Research, and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in 1984.
