Sergio Martinez

Sergio Martinez began their work experience in 2008 as a Customer Care at El Tresmall. In 2012, they moved to Viajes Iberia as a Commercial Sales Manager. In 2013, they joined Barceló Viajes as a Commercial Sales and Team Manager. In 2015, they participated in the MBA Summer Program at IESE Business School, University of Navarra. In 2017, they were an Associate Operations Manager Internship at InnoVitsLab. In 2018, they were a Business Developer Internship Engineer Student at PoliHub - Innovation District & Startup Accelerator and a Startup Coordinator Crew at Pioneers.io. Finally, in 2021, they joined LEDCity AG as a Business Development & Strategy, where they were responsible for setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth, researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives, creating and presenting strategic plans, finding solutions for client problems, targeting strategic leads and moving them through the sales cycle, developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients, training business development & sales team, attending conferences and industry events, creating objectives for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those goals, and keeping updated with technologies and consumer behaviors.

Sergio Martinez has a multifaceted educational background. Sergio began their studies in 2013 when they attended Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) to pursue a degree in Operations Management & Lean Manufacturing, which they completed in 2014. That same year, they attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology to participate in the EMTECH España 2014 program, focusing on Emerging Technologies. Sergio then returned to UPV to complete a degree in Bussiness & Technology, Teamwork & Projects in 2015. In the same year, they attended IESE Business School for a MBA Summer Program, focusing on Negocios internacionales. From 2014 to 2018, they attended Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Industrial to pursue a degree in Ingeniería de la Energía. In 2018, they participated in an Engineering Erasmus Internship Student at Polihub, focusing on Training Engineering & Business Developer Internship. Currently, Sergio is enrolled at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) to pursue a M.Thesis - CDM - MTE in the Management of Technology Institute.
