Matthew Nickerson

Matthew Nickerson has a strong background in IT and infrastructure management. Matthew currently holds the position of Head of Infrastructure and Corporate Technology at Ledger Investing, where they have been employed since January 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew served as the IT Director at Roofstock from December 2021 to October 2022, where they developed IT strategy, modernized processes, improved security, and prepared for the company's public offering. Matthew also worked as the IT Manager at Front from March 2020 to November 2021, where they stabilized, modernized, and scaled the IT stack supporting a high-growth SaaS startup. Matthew's previous experience includes roles as Senior Corporate IT & Security Manager at SquareTrade, where they were responsible for corporate-facing infrastructure, security, and applications, and as a Systems Administrator at Romnet. Matthew began their career as a Consultant at Silicon Connections.

Matthew Nickerson has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, which they obtained from San Francisco State University from 2001 to 2004. In terms of additional certifications, they received the ITIL Foundation Level certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in August 2021. Matthew also obtained the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2022, as well as the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from the same institution in October 2022. In August 2017, Matthew obtained the CISSP certification from (ISC)². Additionally, they hold the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) certification from Cisco, which they obtained in March 2007, and the Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA) certification, obtained in March 2010.
