Eric J. Sarner

Eric J. Sarner has extensive experience in the real estate industry. Eric J. is currently working at Lee & Associates NYC as the Chief Operating Officer of the Property Management Division and also serves as the General Counsel. In this role, they oversee a 35-asset property management division, consisting of commercial office and multi-family properties. Their responsibilities include leading the strategy, operations, and direction of the division, managing a 20-person team, and shaping corporate vision. Eric J. has successfully expanded the division by securing additional management assignments from established real estate owners and investment firms. As the General Counsel, Sarner utilizes their legal expertise to guide legal affairs and manage outside counsel, facilitating streamlined transactional, administrative, and litigation matters.

Prior to joining Lee & Associates NYC, Sarner worked at Cogswell Realty LLC for over 16 years. Eric J. held the positions of Principal & Chief Operating Officer as well as General Counsel. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the general operations and activities of the real estate firm, which included a portfolio of approximately 3 million square feet of assets. Eric J. played a crucial role in improving the performance of the firm by implementing strategic process improvement plans, such as a web-based paperless invoice management system and HR outsourcing through a Professional Employer Organization. Eric J. also led the due diligence and acquisition team for a $135 million purchase of a Class A office tower in Lower Manhattan.

Eric J. Sarner completed their Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree at Hofstra University from 1988 to 1992. Eric J. then went on to pursue their Juris Doctor degree at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University from 1992 to 1995. Additionally, Eric has obtained certifications in "Leading with Emotional Intelligence" and "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" from LinkedIn, in May 2021 and January 2021 respectively.
