Paul Firmin

Paul Firmin is a seasoned professional in transport planning and business networking with extensive experience in both academic and entrepreneurial settings. Currently serving as a part-time Lecturer in Transport Planning at Leeds College of Building since March 2017, Paul teaches subjects related to Transport Modelling, Laws, Regulations, and Study Skills. Previously, Paul organized networking events for small businesses through The Leeds BIZNET Club and the Oxfordshire Small Business Network. As the owner of Futura Sports Promotions from 2012 to 2017, Paul provided media coverage for various motorsport events. Paul's career in transportation began in the 1970s, with significant roles at Essex County Council and Ove Arup & Partners, and Paul later held the position of Lecturer at the University of Leeds for 15 years. Paul holds a PhD in Transport Engineering and Planning from the University of Leeds, complemented by a background in civil engineering and business finance.
