Craig is the Clerk to the Board and Company Secretary. He began his career as an 'old fashioned' apprentice with Shell and was a non-traditional entrant to HE as a mature student before embarking on a second career in employability for vulnerable adults, training and skills, careers and latterly governance support (Clerking). Craig has experience supporting adults with a learning difficulty into employment and supporting the governance of the merger between Knowsley and St Helens FE Colleges.
Craigs role as Clerk supports all the Governors at Leeds Trinity and is informed by his extensive and varied career experience. From apprentice to supporting the development of the employer led Employment and Skills Board and Partnership in Bradford, including producing the first employment and skills strategy. He is also experienced as a Clerk with various Further Education Colleges and volunteering as a trustee/Governor both in FE and the voluntary sector.
He is proud to support the mission, vision and values of LTU, to engage and support students with everything that Higher Education can offer; In preparation for what will be a very different employment market and society than that which he experienced.
