Betty Chen

Betty Chen, M.S., serves as the Director of College Guidance and Registrar at Legacy College Preparatory Charter School and is a member of the Board of Directors for the College Access Consortium of New York. With extensive experience in postsecondary access and college guidance, Betty has held various roles including Deputy Director of Postsecondary Access at East Harlem Tutorial Program, where oversight included program quality and managing staff to enhance student outcomes. Betty is also recognized for contributions to curriculum development and instructional coaching in mathematics and college readiness programs through initiatives like BEAM and the Art of Problem Solving Foundation. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Instructional Design from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University in Global Cultural Studies and Mathematics.
