Ellen Friedman

Ellen Friedman, MPH, CPHQ, CHC, serves as the Area Corporate Compliance Officer at Legacy Health since July 2017, overseeing compliance programs for hospitals and service lines, managing audit responses, and developing training initiatives. Previously, Ellen worked as an Accreditation and Clinical Compliance Consultant for the same organization, ensuring regulatory compliance and engaging with external agencies. Prior experience includes serving as Risk Manager at PeaceHealth, focusing on risk management and patient safety, and as Director of Quality and Systems Improvement for the American Heart Association, where responsibilities included contract management and collaboration with health organizations. Ellen began their career as a Technical Claims Specialist at Liberty Mutual Insurance, handling workers' compensation claims. Ellen holds a BA from UCLA in Development Economics and International Development and a Master of Public Health from Portland State University.
