Haley Smoot

Haley Smoot is a seasoned professional in government affairs and public policy, currently serving as a Government Affairs Policy Advisor at Legacy Health since October 2025. Prior to this role, Haley held key positions including Associate Director of Federal Government Relations at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and Director of Public Policy at Cancer Nation. Previous experience includes roles as Senior Policy Advisor and Innovation Specialist at Texas Health and Human Services, Campaign Director for the Student Series at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Policy Analyst at Texas Health and Human Services. Additional experience encompasses project coordination for the American Heart Association and staff assistance in the United States Senate. Haley's educational background includes an MSc in Global Health Policy and an MSc in Material and Visual Cultures of the Past from The University of Edinburgh, along with a BA in History from Rhodes College.
