Derek Gibson began their work experience in 1999 as an Industrial Engineer at Hallmark Cards. In 2001, they joined Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. as a Logistics Engineering Manager. Derek then went on to work at Legacy National Bank in 2010, where they held various roles including Executive Vice President, Commercial Loan Manager, EVP, Market Executive for Washington County, and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer.
Derek Gibson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology for the academic year 2000-2001. Later, from 2006 to 2008, Derek attended the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at the Cox School of Business in SMU, where they focused on Banking and Financial Support Services. It is noteworthy to mention that Derek's degree name is not specified for their time at the Southwest Graduate School of Banking.
