Legacy Reserves
Richard F. Betz is the Chief Executive Officer, and also serves on the Board of Directors, of Legacy Reserves Inc. Mr. Betz was a partner at Lithos Resources, an investment company focused on the upstream oil and gas industry from January 2020 until October 2020. Prior to forming Lithos Mr. Betz served as Chief Executive Officer of Resolute Energy Corporation, an NYSE listed oil and gas exploration and production company, from 2017 until its merger with Cimarex Energy in March of 2019. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer Mr. Betz served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Resolute. Mr. Betz was the founder of Resolute in 2004.
Prior to founding Resolute, Mr. Betz spent seventeen years with Chase Manhattan Bank, Chase Securities Inc., and its successor companies, where he was involved primarily in oil and gas corporate finance. Mr. Betz received a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Finance from Villanova University in 1984 and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1991.

Legacy Reserves Inc. is an independent energy company. The Company is engaged in the development, production and acquisition of oil and natural gas properties in United States. The Company's operating regions include the Permian Basin, East Texas, Rocky Mountain and Mid-Continent regions of the United States. The Permian Basin, producing oil and natural gas basins in the United States, and extend over 100, 000 square miles in West Texas and southeast New Mexico. The properties in East Texas consist of mature, low-decline natural gas wells. The East Texas properties are supported by a 601 mile natural gas gathering system and plant. Its properties in the Mid-Continent region located in Oklahoma. Rocky Mountain region comprised by acquisitions in the Big Horn, Wind River and Powder River Basins in Wyoming largely consisting of mature oil wells with a natural water drive producing primarily from the Dinwoody-Phosphoria, Tensleep and Minnelusa formations.
