Layne Johnson currently serves as a Student Assistant at the Legal Aid Justice Center since November 2022 and has held the role of Vice President at Amnesty International at UVA since November 2020. As a Sport Writer for The Cavalier Daily since March 2020, Layne has contributed to campus journalism. Previous experience includes internships at Catholic Charities USA as a Food & Nutrition Policy Intern and at the Congressional Hunger Center as a Zero Hunger Intern during the summer of 2022. Additionally, Layne worked as a Research Intern at the Philip L. Graham Fund in summer 2021. Layne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law from the University of Virginia, supplemented by participation in the European Studies Program at Freie Universität Berlin. Educational background also includes completion of the International Baccalaureate at Robinson Secondary.
