Silya Shaw

Silya Shaw serves as the Deputy Executive Director and Managing Attorney at Legal Aid of Western Missouri since June 2014 and has extensive experience in legal and tax-related roles. Previously, Silya held the position of Associate Director at Kansas City Tax Clinic and served as an Adjunct Professor at UMKC School of Law. Additional experience includes working as an Attorney at Siniawski Law Firm, LLC, and as a Tax Researcher at The Tax Institute at H&R Block. Silya's educational background includes a Master of Laws in Tax Law/Taxation from Villanova University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Affairs from American University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from Park University.
