Family Duty Counsel at Legal Aid Ontario

Brooklyn Thorpe has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Brooklyn started their career as a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant at CDC Bookkeeping in 2012, where they quickly learned and managed multiple clients independently. In 2014, they worked as a Receptionist/Clerk at the City of Saskatoon, handling phone calls, data entry, and reservation bookings. Brooklyn then served as a Server at Hose and Hydrant, where they managed their section, ensured customer satisfaction, and performed general cleaning duties.

In 2015, Brooklyn served as an Articling Student at MacBean Tessem, Barristers & Solicitors, where they gained legal experience. Brooklyn then joined Dorrington & Associates, Professional Corporation as an Associate in 2016, working in that role until 2019. During this time, they also joined Maisonneuve Dawkins in 2019 as an Associate. Most recently, Brooklyn has been working at Legal Aid Ontario as a Family Duty Counsel starting in April 2022.

Brooklyn Thorpe's education history begins in 1998 when they attended Dinsmore Composite School for their high school education. They completed high school in 2010. In 2010, Brooklyn enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan, College of Arts and Science, where they focused on English Language and Literature, General. They studied at this institution until 2012. After completing their undergraduate studies, Brooklyn continued their education at the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law. From 2012 to 2015, they pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with a specialization in Law.
