Divya Khurana

Divya Khurana has a diverse work history, beginning with their current role as Staff Duty Counsel at Legal Aid Ontario since February 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors for Crossroads International | Carrefour International from July 2020 to July 2023. Divya also worked as a Case management counsel at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic from August 2020 to February 2022. Additionally, Divya has experience as a Board Member for Breakfast of Champions in support of SickKids from January 2018 to October 2020. Divya also held the position of Vice President at SABA Toronto from July 2019 to July 2020. Divya has legal experience, working as an Associate Lawyer/Agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada at Shirtliff Hinds Law from October 2018 to July 2020. Divya previously operated their own firm, Divya Khurana Barrister and Solicitor, as a Criminal Defence Lawyer from 2016 to October 2018. Earlier in their career, Divya worked at McCague Borlack LLP as an Associate from 2015 to 2016, and as a Student at Law from August 2014 to June 2015. Divya also worked as a Summer Law Student at McCague Borlack LLP from May 2013 to August 2013. Divya gained legal experience as a Summer Legal Intern at the Ottawa Crown Attorney's Office in August 2012.

Divya Khurana completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology at York University from 2007 to 2011. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Common Law at the University of Ottawa from 2011 to 2014.
