Samantha Maharaj

Samantha Maharaj has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Samantha started their career as an Inmate Records Clerk at the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services in 2008. Samantha then worked as an Administrative Assistant at Addison Chevrolet GMC Buick West and later moved on to Town Shoes & The Shoe Company as a Sales Associate, Cashier, and Customer Service Representative.

In 2010, Samantha joined the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General as a Family Law Administrative Assistant. In 2011, they embarked on a career as a Flight Attendant, first at Air Canada and then at Sunwing Airlines Inc.

In 2013, Samantha worked as a Summer Law Student at Prouse, Dash & Crouch, LLP. Samantha then transitioned into the legal field and joined Legal Aid Ontario as a Student at Law. During their time at Legal Aid Ontario, they held several roles, including Hybrid Duty Counsel for Criminal and Family Law and Family and Child Protection Lawyer for Metro Toronto Family Law Services.

Samantha's career path reflects their diverse experiences and their growth in the legal profession.

Samantha Maharaj completed their Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Criminology and Psychology from York University from 2007 to 2011. Later, they pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at the University of Windsor and graduated in 2015 with a specialization in Law.
