Carolyn Rumer is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in public interest law. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney at the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia since September 2016, Carolyn is also an Equal Justice Works Fellow sponsored by Latham & Watkins. Prior to this role, Carolyn worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Jennifer A. Di Toro at the D.C. Superior Court and completed externships at the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law and the Legal Aid Society. Carolyn's early legal experiences include positions as a Summer Law Clerk at Public Counsel and a Summer Intern at the Legal Aid Society, as well as a Live-In Assistant at L'Arche Greater Washington, DC. Carolyn holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Honors History and Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame.
