Jerome Bishop

Jerome Bishop is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and compliance. Currently serving as AVP & Associate General Counsel at Legal & General America since December 2018, Jerome has previously held key roles including Corporate Counsel at Clopay Building Products and Second Vice President & Counsel at Ohio National Financial Services, where significant contributions included managing the Legal Department and developing the IT Vendor Management Office. As Ohio National's inaugural Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, Jerome established the Corporate Compliance & Ethics Department and created the organization’s Code of Ethics. Prior experience includes partnerships at Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP and Katz Teller Brant & Hild, along with legal positions at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Jerome holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and an MBA, underpinned by a strong educational background including a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University and early career experience in legislative roles.
