Francis Wathen

Francis Wathen is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in clean energy investment, corporate development, and audit. Currently serving as a Board Observer at Rovco and a Clean Energy Investment Associate at Legal & General, Francis previously held roles including Clean Energy Investment Analyst at Legal & General and Corporate Development Manager at Future Biogas Ltd, where responsibilities included M&A advisory and due diligence. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Distill Ventures, focusing on deal structure and execution for Diageo’s Venture Capital arm, and as an Audit Executive at Grant Thornton LLP, managing audit engagements in the TMT and Consumer sectors. Academic credentials include a BSc in Geographical Sciences from the University of Bristol and an Erasmus Year at Université Joseph Fourier. Prior internships include roles at Lloyds Online Doctor, Rolls-Royce, and BT, as well as volunteer teaching in Northern India.
