Buddy Broussard

Buddy Broussard has over 20 years of experience in legal and commercial roles. From 1997-1999, they worked as an Attorney/Landman for John F. Hafner Assoc. In 1999, they became a Staff Attorney at Entergy Power Marketing, where they negotiated wholesale power trading agreements and structured power marketing transactions. In 2000, they moved to Pantellos, where they provided commercial and legal input to shape the strategies of an Internet-based business-to-business marketplace. From 2002-2004, they worked as an Associate Attorney at Winstead PC. Buddy then became a self-employed Attorney at Buddy Broussard, Attorney at Law, where they represented Chevron Phillips Chemical Company and The Woodlands Land Development Company. From 2005-2009, they worked as a Custom Home Builder for Gil Broussard Builder, Inc. In 2009, they became the Global Commercial Manager - Shell Portfolio at FMC Technologies, where they led the drafting and negotiation of a global agreement with Shell. In 2012, they moved to bp as the Contracting & Compliance Manager - Upstream Procurement & Supply Chain Management, where they championed a vision to bring a more systematic approach to contracting in BP's Upstream PSCM organization. Finally, in 2021, they joined LegalSifter as the Vice President, Sifting Services, where they are leading the "after you sign" services side of LegalSifter’s business.

Buddy Broussard obtained a JD from The University of Texas School of Law in 1995. Buddy had previously earned a BA in English & Philosophy from Rice University in 1992. Buddy has also obtained a number of certifications, including a LegalSifter Review Certified User from LegalSifter in 2023, Excel PivotTables: Mastering PivotTables and PivotCharts and Excel: Lookup Functions in Depth from LinkedIn in 2021, Certified Coach, Trainer and Speaker from The John Maxwell Team in 2020, and a Licensed Attorney from the State Bar of Texas in 1995.
