Brian Simpson

Brian Simpson has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical research and operations. Brian started their career in 2010 as a Research Assistant at Animal Health Laboratory, where they conducted research evaluations on virology and fish dissections. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Karmanos Cancer Institute, ensuring compliance with study requirements and participating in monitoring visits.

In 2013, Simpson joined UCSD Moores Cancer Center as a Clinical Research Coordinator II. Brian'sresponsibilities included recruiting and screening subjects for clinical trials and fostering collaboration between academia and industry. At PAREXEL, where they worked in 2014, they served as a Clinical Monitoring Associate, conducting monitoring tasks and ensuring patient safety and data integrity.

Simpson then transitioned to Robarts Clinical Trials as a Clinical Research Associate from 2014 to 2015. In this role, they conducted site initiation visits and monitored trial materials to ensure compliance with SOPs and GCP best practices. Brian then moved to TRACON Pharmaceuticals, where they held various roles from 2015 to 2019, including Clinical Trials Manager II and Senior Clinical Trials Manager.

From 2019 to 2021, Simpson worked at Poseida Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Clinical Trials Manager, overseeing all operational aspects of CAR-T clinical studies and coordinating with vendors and CROs to ensure study plans are followed. Currently, since 2021, they are serving as the Director of Clinical Operations at Legend Biotech, where they lead and collaborates on complex CAR-T protocols and reports on trial progress to senior leadership.

Throughout their career, Simpson has demonstrated strong expertise in clinical operations, study management, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Brian Simpson attended Michigan State University from 2008 to 2011, where they pursued a degree in Natural Science with a focus on Human Biology.
