Dustin Sommer has extensive work experience in the IT field. Dustin started their career as a Computer Scientist at the National Security Agency, where they gained knowledge in UNIX, Java, C languages, and scripting. During their time there, they were promoted twice.

After working at the National Security Agency, Sommer joined Leggett & Platt as a Senior Programmer and progressed to roles including Project Leader and Manager. In these positions, they managed enterprise purchasing systems and provided technical expertise in e-commerce, procurement, logistics, and integrations.

Sommer then transitioned to the role of IT Director at Leggett & Platt, where they held various positions such as Head of IT Compliance, Applications, and Technology. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing IT governance, risk management, compliance, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and global support. Dustin also led the implementation of new business units onto the CPP solution and managed a team supporting server and infrastructure needs globally.
