Amer Moorhead

Amer Moorhead is the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Legion Technologies. Amer has extensive experience in corporate law, with a focus on technology companies.

Previously, Amer served as the Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Couchbase from January 2015 to April 2018. In this role, Amer was responsible for leading the legal team and overseeing all legal matters for the company. Amer was also responsible for corporate governance, stock transactions, and managing the company’s options/equity program. Additionally, Amer negotiated software licensing transactions and sales agreements, partnerships, and OEM agreements. Amer also oversaw the globalization of sales and employment matters for the company.

Prior to Couchbase, Amer served as the Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel at Tradeshift from June 2018 to January 2022. In this role, Amer was responsible for all legal matters for the company, including corporate, investor, and board of directors matters, M&A, joint ventures, FinTech, compliance (GDPR, anti-corruption, trade sanctions/export, CFIUS), e-commerce through the network effect, data governance & analytics, partnerships, software as a service (SaaS)/cloud computing, globalization & international expansion, international employment matters, stock options, incentive compensation, equity management, financings, fundraising, credit facilities (loan/debt), dispute resolution & commercial litigation, scaling & strategic initiatives, and crisis management.

Amer Moorhead attended the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Amer then attended the University of San Francisco and earned their Master of Business Administration in Finance. Finally, they attended the University of San Francisco and earned their Juris Doctor in business law. Amer is currently certified by the State Bar of California.
