Chul-Woong Chung

Chul-Woong Chung has extensive experience in the field of biosciences and pharmaceuticals. Chul-Woong is currently the CTO at LegoChem Biosciences, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this, they were the Head of Biology at LegoChem Biosciences from April 2020 to August 2020. Chul-Woong also served as a Senior Director at Beijing Hanmi Pharma Co. Ltd from April 2018 to March 2020.

Chul-Woong Chung has also held various leadership roles at LegoChem Biosciences, including Director from January 2015 to March 2018 and Head Researcher in November and December 2014. Chul-Woong has a notable tenure at LG Life Sciences, where they worked as a Principal Scientist/Senior Manager from December 2013 to October 2014. During their time at LG Life Sciences, they were involved in several areas of drug discovery and development, including technology licensing, therapeutic antibody development, and biopharmaceutical R&D strategy. Chul-Woong also worked on drug discovery projects for dementia, obesity, and liver disease.

Before joining LG Life Sciences, Chul-Woong Chung served as a Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic from June 2004 to May 2005. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in various aspects of biosciences and pharmaceutical research and has assumed several senior-level positions.

Chul-Woong Chung received their BS degree in Biology from Konkuk University in 1994. Chul-Woong went on to pursue further education and completed their Ph.D in Cell and Molecular Biology from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in 2003.
