Arindam Banerjee

Arindam Banerjee serves as the Associate Director at the Center for Advancing Community Electrification Solutions (ACES) since January 2025 and holds multiple positions at Lehigh University, including Paul B. Reinhold Professor and Department Chair of Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics, with a focus on turbulent flows in various applications. Research interests encompass turbulent mixing in hydrodynamic instabilities, alternative energy applications, and bio-fluid dynamics, particularly in areas like inertial confinement fusion and aerosolized drug delivery for patients on mechanical ventilators. Banerjee has contributed to various editorial roles, including Special Editor for the ASME Journal of Fluids Engineering and Subject Editor for Renewable Energy, and has previously held faculty positions and research roles at distinguished institutions including the Missouri University of Science & Technology and Los Alamos National Laboratory. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree from Jadavpur University.
