Chioma Chigozie-Okwum

Chioma Chigozie-Okwum is a dedicated researcher and educator with extensive experience in participatory design and algorithmic systems. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at Lehigh University, Chioma leads the development of a custom legal document search engine and conducts ethnographic fieldwork to inform user-centered designs. Additionally, Chioma represents the Center for Women Studies and Initiatives at the United Nations as a Youth Representative and founded the Coalition For Women Professionals to create an inclusive community for African women. Previous roles include teaching and administrative positions at various institutions, contributing to the field of cybersecurity, and enhancing information and communication technology infrastructure. Chioma is pursuing a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at Lehigh University, building upon a robust academic background that includes multiple advanced degrees in computer science and information technology.
