Cynthia Kane

Cynthia Kane is an experienced academic administrator with a strong background in research administration and sponsored programs. Currently serving as the Associate Vice Provost for Research and Sponsored Programs at Lehigh University since September 2018, Cynthia oversees the operations of the office, ensuring proposal planning, submission, and award management services meet both investigator needs and compliance standards. Prior to this role, Cynthia held several leadership positions at Yale University, including Director of Business Operations for the Office of Sponsored Projects, where responsibilities encompassed compliance oversight and quality control of business operations. Additionally, Cynthia gained significant experience during tenure at UC Berkeley as Director of Extramural Funds Accounting and at Accenture as a Senior Manager. Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Journalism from Fresno State University.
