Visiting Predoctoral Researcher at Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB)

Ana María Sánchez Ruiz has a diverse work experience in the field of agricultural research. Ana María is currently working as a Predoctoral Researcher at the IRTA (Instituto de Investigación y Tecnología Agroalimentarias) since November 2021. Additionally, they have been a Visiting Predoctoral Researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) starting from March 2023.

Prior to their current positions, Ana María worked as a Graduate Researcher at the Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria (INIA) from March 2021 to June 2021. During this role, they conducted experiments and analyzed the effectiveness of a biological control agent against tomato wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici (FOL).

Before joining INIA, they worked as a Graduate Research Student at the University of A Coruna. Their research focused on studying the efficiency of a biological control agent against the pathogen Phytophthora capsici in Padrón pepper plants.

Lastly, Ana María worked as a Tourist Guide at Irish Tour Tickets Ltd from November 2018 to July 2019.

Ana María Sánchez Ruiz pursued their education in the field of biotechnology and biology. From 2019 to 2021, they attended the Universidade da Coruña, where they completed a Master of Academic Excellence in Advanced Biotechnology. Prior to that, they studied at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 2014 to 2018 and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Biology, with a focus on general biology.
