Aashia Rahman

Aashia Rahman, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Scientist at the Leibniz-Institut für Astrophysik Potsdam (AIP) since June 2018. Prior to this role, Aashia held the position of Senior Consultant at PATEV Associates GmbH from January 2018 to August 2021, and worked as a Lead IP Professional and Research IP Professional at GE Global Research between June 2012 and September 2017. Aashia's academic career includes serving as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar for a brief period in late 2011, and completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Nanyang Technological University in 2011. Additionally, Aashia was a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) Institute of Electronic Structure & Laser in 2010. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Instrumentation from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, and a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Haldia Institute of Technology.
