Cindy Elschner

Cindy Elschner is a highly experienced professional in the field of bioengineering, currently serving as Gruppenleiterin of the Forschungsgruppe Bio-Engineering at Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden since September 2009. In this role, Cindy focuses on textile biomaterials, biopolymers, bioplastics, composites, and technical embroidery. Previously, Cindy held the position of wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in the Forschungsgruppe Komplexe Strukturkomponenten and completed a doctoral program in biomaterials, medical imaging, and statistics in the Abt. Polyelektrolyte und Dispersionen. Early in the career at DENTAL-Kosmetik GmbH, Cindy worked as a student assistant. Cindy holds a Dr. rer. nat. degree in chemistry and a Diplom in food chemistry from Technische Universität Dresden.
