Julia Sophie Böke is a Doctoral Researcher at the Leibniz-Institut für Photonische Technologien, focusing on the detection and identification of microplastic particles using lab-on-a-chip systems since September 2020. Previous experience includes a summer traineeship at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia, where optimization and alignment of optical experimental setups were conducted, alongside a traineeship at ON Semiconductor concentrating on hyperspectral imaging. Julia's academic foundation is solidified with a PhD in Multispectral Imaging Flow Cytometry from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, a Master's in Photonics from Ghent University, and a Bachelor’s in Industrial and Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig. Julia has extensive experience in project coaching, training conception for e-commerce, and various research assistant roles in semiconductor and photonics studies, along with a background in marketing and trade promotion through multiple consultative and trainee positions.
