Brandon Drescher

Brandon Drescher is an experienced Account Manager at Leica Microsystems, covering academic institutions in Boston, Worcester, and Rhode Island since October 2021. Previously, Brandon served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University, specializing in expansion microscopy techniques to study the cytoskeleton in Trypanosoma brucei, and at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where Brandon led projects on connectomics and used microscopy to create 3D tissue atlases, particularly focusing on a species of nudibranch. Additionally, Brandon has held teaching positions including Instructor for a writing-intensive course in Biology and Teaching Fellow for Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard University. Brandon's academic background includes a Doctoral degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master's degree in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
