Frans van der Ouderaa

Frans Van Der Ouderaa is a seasoned researcher and executive in the field of gerontology and geriatrics, currently serving as a senior researcher and business liaison for the Dutch Society for Research into Ageing at Leiden University Medical Center since July 2015. Prior to this role, Frans held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing, focusing on strategy development from 2009 to September 2016. Frans also served as the Director of Business Development at the Netherlands Consortium for Healthy Ageing from 2009 to December 2012. Earlier in the career, Frans held several prominent roles at Unilever, including Vice President of Corporate Research from 2000 to 2008 and Member of the Executive of Unilever R&D at Colworth, where Frans led the Biosciences division. Additionally, Frans was VP of R&D at Unipath Ltd from 2000 to 2001, overseeing the strategy development and implementation of the company's R&D program.
