Maartje G. Huijbers

Maartje G. Huijbers, PhD, is an accomplished academic affiliated with the Leiden University Medical Center since October 2010, currently serving as an associate professor, principal investigator, and senior scientist, with a focus on investigating new therapeutic strategies for MuSK and AChR myasthenia gravis. Huijbers has also held positions as a postdoctoral researcher and PhD candidate in collaboration with New York University, engaging in research at the Steve Burden lab. Academically, Huijbers earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Leiden University and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Life Sciences from Maastricht University, complemented by a study period at the University of Pennsylvania.
