Mohamed Elmahdy is a senior R&D engineer at PTW since April 2023 and a senior deep learning researcher at Leiden University Medical Center, where responsibilities include developing deep learning networks for cine-MRI registration and cardiac assessment. With a doctoral background from Leiden University, focusing on adaptive treatment planning and contour propagation, significant contributions include creating a 3D unsupervised image registration CNN and enhancing clinical acceptance frameworks for prostate cancer. Prior roles involved scientific research at Nile University on dermatology image databases, teaching at Cairo University, and software development for 3D medical visualization at Nebras Technology. Mohamed holds a PhD in Medical Image Analysis, an MS in Biomedical Engineering, and a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Cairo University.
