Richard Davis has extensive work experience in various research roles. Richard started their career as a Research Assistant at the Australian National University in 2002 and then moved on to work as a Research Assistant at the Monash Institute of Medical Research from 2003 to 2004. Richard then joined the Monash Immunology & Stem Cell Laboratories at Monash University as a PhD Student from 2004 to 2008. In 2008, they worked as a Researcher at Monash University before joining Leiden University Medical Center in 2009. At Leiden University Medical Center, Richard held the role of a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2009 to 2015 and then became a Principal Investigator from 2015 to the present. In these roles, they were involved in genetic modification of pluripotent stem cells, differentiation to cardiac cell types, project planning and management, and supervision of other group members.
Richard Davis obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with honours in Biochemistry from the University of Otago from 1998 to 2001. Richard then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Monash University from 2004 to 2008.
