DeAnna E. Beasley is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in biological sciences. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga since August 2016, DeAnna previously held the position of Assistant Professor at the same institution. Prior to this, DeAnna worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at North Carolina State University from July 2013 to July 2016, focusing on the ecology and evolution of small insects and their interaction with urbanization. DeAnna's earlier experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of South Carolina from August 2006 to May 2013, where dissertation research examined insects as indicators of environmental stress and the effectiveness of citizen science methodologies. DeAnna earned a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of South Carolina in 2013, following a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wofford College in 2002.
