Maximilian Fusenig, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Associate at the Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden, since April 2020, focusing on the development of HTS-compatible 3D microvasculature culture models. Prior to this, Fusenig completed a PhD at Universitätsklinikum Carl Gustav Carus, where research centered on the interactions between mesenchymal stromal cells and cancer cells in acute myeloid leukemia and the identification of novel therapeutic approaches targeting cancer-associated MSCs from December 2016 to November 2021. Earlier experience includes a role as a Student Research Assistant at Fraunhofer IMM, where investigations into biodiagnostic methods in liquid biopsy were conducted, particularly involving single-cell nucleic acid preparation and microvesicle enrichment. Fusenig holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, completed between 2011 and 2016.
