Melissa Koops is the Head of International Affairs and Strategy at Leiden University, a position held since February 2018. Prior experience includes roles such as Researcher Development Project Manager at the University of Cambridge and Senior Policy Officer at the European University Association. Prior to these roles, Melissa served as a Senior Education Policy Adviser at the Australian Government Department of Education, and worked as a Project Officer at the European Science Foundation. Additional experience includes a position as a Policy Officer at the Australian Government Department of Education. Melissa holds a Master’s Degree in International Business Studies from Maastricht University and has completed executive programs in Strategic Human Resource Management at both Cambridge Judge Business School and Vlerick Business School in Belgium.
