Roy Kokkelkoren

Roy Kokkelkoren is an experienced IT security professional currently serving as the Coordinator of the Security Operations Centre and a SOC Security Specialist at Leiden University since August 2023. Prior to this role, Roy worked at the Nationaal Cyber Security Centrum (NCSC-NL) from November 2016 to July 2023 as an IT Security Advisor, providing technical advice on IT security for government entities and critical infrastructure in the Netherlands. Additional experience includes roles as Secretary for Studenten Net Twente, self-employed IT consultant at Xsec, Senior Security Engineer at IT Security Services, and Provisioning Engineer at LeaseWeb B.V. Roy Kokkelkoren holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente and a Bachelor’s Degree in Technische Informatica from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
